History

2016

On January 2, the formation of PLATINUM♦COIN (along with Sakura Station and YU+YU) was announced. The members were revealed to be Hello Pro Idol members Inoue Nozomi, Ouchi Hoshiko, Fukuda Konoe, Yamakawa Tamaki, Tokugawa Nanami, Saito Ryouko, and Takahashi Cara. The group would be a part of the Hello! Pro Girls Indies District until their major debut.

On January 12, their debut indies single, BREAKOUT, BREAKDOWN was announced for release on March 3.

On August 1, it was announced that PLATINUM♦COIN would be promoted to the main division. It was also confirmed more news about the group's activities would be revealed in the next month. All of the members graduated from the Girls Division Kenshuusei.

On September 23, PLATINUM♦COIN's major debut was announced. The group would release their major debut single in January 2017, after releasing a final indies single.

2017

On January 5, the group made their major debut with the single "Doku Ringo wo Tabesasete / Ashita no Tame ni Kiss wo / Ai".
