RE:BIRTH (Formally known as:Starlight Girls) is an all-girl Japanese pop idol group, under Hello! Project. They were formed in 2014.
On June 25, 2017, the unit was moved to Hello! Project Fantasy Artist District, as well as revamped with a new name and members. With the name rebirth, their image is now a girl-crush concept with members only being added if they are 16+ years of age only.

2014
On January 10, Starlight Girls was announced
On January 20, was the day of the 1st generation auditions, and 4,000 girls auditioned.
On January 21, there were 100 girls left for the final round.
On January 22, the results were in, and the 1st generation members are, Takamori Ayami, Matsumoto Rika, Asumi Hikari, Miller Michi, Komatsu Haruka Komatsu and Saito Minami.
2017
On June 25, 2017, it was announced that the group moved to Hello! Project Fantasy Artist District. They also had a member color change and got 3 members making the line up it a 8 member line up. Along with the new changes, two 1st generation members left the group.

Along with the new change, a new leader and sub-leader were chosen.
2018
On March 5, Takamori Ayami and Matsumoto Rika graduated from the group.
On March 14, it was announced that they would be adding two new members on that day: Sano Kiyoko and Choi Gowon, both Kiyoko and Gowon were applying for Fantasy Rookies when management decided to debut them straight away.
On April 7, it was announced that Komatsu Haruka was removed from the group and the company. The reason was due to Komatsu not complaing with company policy and due to innapropriate behaviours.
